Bio

With an esteemed career spanning composition, production, songwriting and mixing, Ivor Novello-nominated Thomas Slinger has established himself as one of the most trusted and forward-thinking creative forces in contemporary music.

His breakthrough came with the production and co-write of "Daisy" by Ashnikko — her first top-40 single, now platinum in the US — and further work across her debut mixtape DEMIDEVIL. That partnership deepened significantly with WEEDKILLER, Ashnikko's debut studio album, on which Thomas served as executive producer, primary producer, engineer and mixer.

Now, Smoochies marks Ashnikko's sophomore studio album and represents the most expansive chapter yet of their collaboration, with Thomas again at the helm as executive producer, alongside roles as producer, engineer, mixer and multi-instrumentalist. Described as Ashnikko's most personal and collaborative work to date, the album trades fantasy worlds for autobiographical themes, with critics noting its bold maximalist sound — extreme, tactile, and distinctly modern.

Alongside his work with Ashnikko, Thomas has continued to build a diverse portfolio of collaborations including Rina Sawayama, Avelino and Suzi Wu, with sync placements across major film and TV releases.

His own artist projects reflect an equally restless creative range — from the original Slinger project (the electronic/bass-driven sound that first caught the ears of Skrillex, Zane Lowe and Diplo) to Autonomy (string-led electronic soundscapes with a consistent presence across DSP editorial playlists), and most recently The Sanctuary, drawing comparisons to Tourist, George FitzGerald, Jon Hopkins and Bonobo.
